ANT-Hiroshima to Contribute to the Flood Relief in Pakistan

After consulting HOPE’87 in Pakistan, ANT-Hiroshima has agreed to undertake the funding of the following flood relief activities in Pakistan over the next two months.

Relief Activity 1:

Distribution of Water Storage Kits to 260 families in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Province.

Situation Report:
The non-availability of water storage tools and equipment is resulting in several health related problems for the flood affected population.

To help overcome this problem, 260 families will be provided with one water storage kit each. The kit comprises of two Jerry Cans of 20 litres each, so each family will be able to store 40 litres of water per day, which is approximately the minimum water requirement for an average family of 7 persons in an emergency situation.

Relief Activity 2:

Medical supplies will be delivered to 10,000 people in southern Punjab province.

Situation Report: Goods and medical supplies received by HOPE’87 head office will be transported to the medical camps set up by SPO – Strengthening Participatory Organizations in Multan (the main city in southern Punjab).
