Sadako’s Prayer Read By Visually Impaired Children in Pakistan on National Book Day

At this year’s National Book Day in Pakistan, Funkor Child Art Centre held a book reading event for blind children from the Almaktoom Centre for Visually Impaired Children.

Funkor Child Art Centre is committed to giving equal opportunities to children with special needs. Renowned artist and children books writer and Executive Director of Funkor Child Art Center, Fauzia Minallah introduced the children to the audience.

Visually Impaired children, Maria and Najam read in Braille, from “Sadako Ki Dua“, or “Sadako’s Prayer“, written and illustrated by Fauzia Minallah and published by ANT-Hiroshima.

Special songs were also prepared by Visually Impaired children for the occasion. Here is a video of the event:
