Fresh from winning a prize from The World Bank for his film, Bénéré, Serge Armel Sawadogo has just made his first short film in America on the theme of hope and hopelessness as it relates to the African experience…

Serge is from Burkina Faso. He visited Hiroshima to attend the 2008 Hiroshima Animation Festival as an observer and as a guest of ANT-Hiroshima, after which he completed an intensive English language programme in the USA and is currently pursuing a career in film and animation.
