We received this nice greeting from Mr Abdarhamane Traoret, congratulating ANT-Hiroshima on our 25th anniversary. Abdarhamae Traoret is the Country Representatibe for Hope ’87 in Burkina Faso, and the Programme Director for Hope ’87 in West Africa. Tomoko Watanabe met him in 2008 when she visited Burkina Faso on a fact-finding mission.
HOPE’87 Burkina Faso offer our compliments to ANT-Hiroshima and extend our congratulations for your 25th anniversary.
25 years have already passed in the service of Peace around the world and especially in the developing world and in Africa in particular, where PEACE is still to be found in many countries.
I would like to acknowledge the excellent and fruitful cooperation between HOPE’87 Burkina Faso and ANT-Hiroshima. I still remember the historic visit of Ms Tomoko Watanabe to Burkina Faso in October 2008 . This visit enabled Ms Tomoko to get to know Burkina Faso and visit HOPE’87 projects. It also helped to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations with the participation of two Burkina Faso primary schools in the annual ART PARTY project hosted by ANT-Hiroshima.
The participation of these two schools of Burkina Faso in this activity supported children’s creativity and helped fundraising for both schools. The children of the school Kandara in Ouagadougou and school of Siglé in the region of central western Burkina Faso have received school stationery and essential goods for their daily lives. So the children have said:
“THANKS A LOT ANT-Hiroshima for your SUPPORT”
“YOUR SUPPORT HAS CHANGED OUR LIVES”
HOPE’87 Burkina Faso wish to continue collaboration with ANT-Hiroshima for the benefit of children in Burkina Faso.
We say again HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to ANT-Hiroshima
Mr Abdarhamane TRAORET
HOPE’87 Burkina Faso Country Representative
