About 10,000 people attended an international rally and music festival in New York on 2nd May 2010, the day before the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference which is currently being held at the United Nations.
100 Hibakusha – survivors of the atomic bombings – joined the rally along with 2000 other Japanese participants.
The Hiroshima-Nagasaki Yes Campaign was also involved in the rally and you can see the Mayors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the front row of the march and other representatives of Mayors for Peace.
